The Master Chief Collection, Halo Nightfall & Halo 5 Beta - E3 2014 (Microsoft)

During the E3 Xbox Media Briefing, we also saw what was next for the most iconic Microsoft franchise, Halo. It began with a trailer of a Spartan speaking over clips of master chief sending a bomb to a covenant drop ship (Halo 2)

We then see the tagline “Your Journey Begins” on November 11, 2014 with the entire Master Chief story with Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Players will now be able to experience Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4 all on one disc. All games, now with Halo 2 remastered.

It will include all remastered maps, with the ability to switch from new graphics to classic (old) graphics. It will have the exact same Halo 2 multiplayer that people remember, as most agree that it is possibly the greatest multiplayer of all the games. We saw live gameplay that showed off the new graphics, with a Halo 2 map, we also see him dual wielding weapons, which was part of Halo 2

The Master Chief will have over 100 multiplayer maps, which includes every Halo map that has ever existed. Since it includes all 4 games, it will also come with 4000 Gamerscore to be gained. It will run at 60fps, and is optimized for HD TVs.

With the Master Chief Collection, it was also said that it will include Halo Nightfall. The new live action digital series that is being created in collaboration with executive producer Ridley Scott. It will introduce an important character leading up to Halo 5 Guardians. It is currently in production, but will be out and on the Master Chief Collection.

Looking toward the future of the Halo franchise, we also received more of a Halo 5 tease. With the purchase of The Master Chief Collection, it will grant player’s access to the Halo 5 Guardians Beta that will arrive in December. We received a trailer for the multiplayer that showed a red team versus a blue team.
