Battlefield Hardline - E3 2014 (EA)

During the EA press conference, EA & Visceral showed off their next game Battlefield Hardline. A game set in the city between cops and criminals rather than the typical war scenario. The presenter described it as a “live TV crime drama” set in Los Angeles where a battle between the police and criminals wages on.

They also showcased the multiplayer aspect of the game. Where one team plays the police and one team plays the criminals. It was a 32 player battle, where the criminals attempt to get away with loot while being stopped by the police.

View the gameplay trailer here.

In typical Battlefield fashion, it is a First Person Shooter. It also includes vehicles, guns, and lots of destruction to the world around you. And a brand new introduction of doughnuts, that’s right doughnuts.

The same time it was shown, it was also announced that a BETA will be coming out today on PC and PS4 on a first come first serve basis. Though by now it may be full, view the link here.

It was also said that it will run in 1080p and at 60 frames per second. Though the BETA won’t last long, they said they will use it to improve the game. Hopefully this is true, as the last Battlefield game (Battlefield 4) was criticized for it buggy gameplay. Thought the beta won’t last long. The game is set for October 21 .
